Prof. Dr. Jan D. Reinhardt
Jan D. Reinhardt studied Sociology, Philosophy and Social Psychology at the Heinrich-Heine University Duesseldorf and the University of Trier. He received a PhD in Sociology from the University of Trier in 2003. From 2006 on he has been leading a research group for Epidemiology of Functioning at the Swiss Paraplegic Research in Nottwil.
His topic: "The Implementation of the Int. Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health in China"
Currently, he works as a professor for rehabilitation medicine and physical therapy at the Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. Jan Reinhardt also serves as the Chair-Elect of the Committee for Rehabilitation Disaster Relief of the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitaion Medicine (ISPRM).
His research interests include epidemiology of functioning and disability, theory, measurement and models of environmental factors in disability, labour market participation of persons with health conditions, effectiveness of rehabilitation interventions, international NGOs in disability and rehabilitation, rehablitation services after natural disaster, and research methodology.
